The start of something beautiful [Clarksville Engagement Photographer]
These past two weeks have been crazy busy ya’ll! I had several sessions, it was Christmas, and I had to say “see you soon” to my hero who deployed overseas, so I’m sure you’ll pardon me for not blogging lately! But! Now that life has sort of calmed down a bit, I NEEDED to share this beautiful engagement session. Ashley and Cory are both active duty Army and have the most handsome German Shepard pup named Max….and as I write this, this session has me thinking a lot about my own marriage and engagement…
Much like this couple, we were both active duty Army officers with a puppy, and facing a rapidly approaching deployment. Everything then was a giant adventure, and such a whirlwind filled with so many uncertainties (duh, thats called life, but 23-24 year old Julie was sorta silly haha). There have been many ups and downs, good and bad days, days filled with so much laughter and love, days of sorrow and anger, days where loneliness gets the best of me (yay Army life!), days of frustration (why do the clothes never make it into the laundry basket!?), and days of pride and admiration….and ya’ll, seriously, marriage is hard work, but it is also the BEST work I’ve ever done. And you know what? Seven years later, it’s all STILL a giant adventure with him by my side, filled with many uncertainties (cuz duh, life, maybe 30-31 Julie will finally stop worrying about all the unknowns…hahaha 🤣), and a crazy toddler thrown into the mix, but it’s also filled with just SO. MUCH. LOVE. 💕
Anywoo, enough with my sappy memories…haha! Back to this adorable couple! We had the most wonderful time with gorgeous weather for their engagement shoot. Enjoys some of my favorites from their session below! 🙂
