Meet My Friend Natasha, NPS Photography | Washington, DC Photographer

all these gorgeous photos are by Natasha, of NPS Photography

Friends— meet one of my photographer friends, Natasha, a lifestyle family and newborn photographer in the Washington, DC area! I had the pleasure of meeting Natasha from a mutual friend we have in the DC area, and I’m so glad I did! Natasha’s husband retired from the military and they moved from Moore County, NC to the DMV area!

Natasha specializes in at home lifestyle family and newborn sessions, and her bright, natural images are absolutely gorgeous!

Natasha’s Tips for Guaranteeing Greatness at YOUR Photo Session!

Natasha is the QUEEN of gorgeous, in-home lifestyle newborn and family photo sessions, and I’m totally obsessed with her work. In her blog post, she describes the following eight tips (that I tell my own client’s too) of how to ensure your session is a success:

  1. Trust your photographer and her vision

  2. Just keep smiling 🙂

  3. Love on your family

  4. Make sure everyone is fed before the session; hanger is not happiness

  5. Follow the “what to wear” tips

  6. Read her prep guide before hand

  7. Turn on the music— it makes it way more fun

  8. Ensure there is a lot of natural light in the spaces you will be in

Seriously, go check out her blog post HERE to read all about these tips and see more of her beautiful work!

As a Northern Virginia native, I want to make sure I have a great photographer recommendation for my friends who are still in the area, and Natasha is FOR SURE your girl!

Oh—did y’all know that I was born and raised right out D.C.? Funny side story here— I was born at GWU hospital in DC, and whenever my mom would drive with me to the city (which was often), she would always point around the National Monument and say “and that’s where you were born!” (referring to the area of Washington, D.C.); but my little kid brain always thought I was ACTUALLY born at the monument. It was fun explaining to my third grade class after a field trip to the monument, that I was wrong and indeed was born at a hospital and not the monument itself, haha! 😜

Back to Natasha though! I love how she shows up for her clients, and gives MORE than just digitals; like me, she’s passionate about making sure your photos do more than just live online, and I love that so much!

So, if you’re in the DMV area, be sure to check out Natasha of NPS Photography; you won’t regret it! Any questions, please reach out to me or Natasha!
