I’ve been reflecting about the fresh start and new beginnings a new year brings. And, while I like the idea of resolutions, I never really make any, mostly because I think I have a hard time keeping them.... but I think this year my plan is to focus on two “themes” if you will— patience and grace. I need more of both in my life, so maybe 2019 will be the year I finally learn to take time to breathe and not stress over everything I can’t control, and to give myself permission to not be perfect!

And ya know, I think it’s perfect that my last session of 2018 was this beautiful couple. They were preparing for a deployment and the challenges it would bring with being apart for so long; so being able to capture their love for them was so special. While I know this period of being apart will be tough for them (and for my own family as we go through the same thing!), I know they aren’t worried, and that their love is strong and capable of overcoming any challenge….especially with patience and grace. And so, with that sappiness, haha, I give you this magical sunrise session….Enjoy some of my favorites below, and Happy 2019!!
